Keep this in mind from Intermarriage part 1: Promotion is the release (or birthing) of what is rightfully ours… This is our inheritance.

 When we say promotion, we are speaking in terms of career progression with ‘CAREER’ being an expression of who you are. Protecting who you are and who you were does not allow God to transform you into the person He desires for you to become. This‘defense’ which originates from offence does not allow us to grow into the person God desires for us to become.

 An an additive: An individual never gets stuck working a job, she/he gets stuck in the MENTALITY of working. Many believe their jobs are merely a means of earning an income when in truth that particular job may be the means God is using to prepare them for their next assignment.

 Jobs are assignments that must meet completion…

 Now…

1. How does intermarriage relate to jobs?

2. How does intermarriage relate to career?

3. How has intermarriage placed our promotions on pause?

 Also…

How can intermarriage propel us into the realm of promotion?

Let’s look at ‘INTERMARRIAGE’ through the lens of jobs and careers…

 According to freedictionary.com and dictionary.com ‘INTERMARRIAGE’ is defined as a:

 1. Marriage between people of DIFFERENT social classes.

2. Marriage between people belonging to the SAME small group, especially if they are close blood relatives.

 Hmm…

 Also…

 3. To marry WITHIN one’s family, tribe, or clan.

4. Intermarriage- marriage to a person BELONGING to a tribe or group other than your own as required by CUSTOM or LAW.

 Now consider this…

• We cannot co-mingle the seed of life with a seed of death…
• We cannot co-mingle the seed of our purpose with the seed of our past…
• We cannot remain married to what we ‘did’ or ‘produced’ in times past…

 We must divorce the past in order to advance into the future.

 BEING MARRIED TO SOMEONE OR SOMETHING (A MINDSET) THAT HAS NOT GONE THROUGH AND IS NOT GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS OF REGENERATION EQUALS MIXTURE. Mixture is hot and cold, up and down…. The roller coaster ride of INCONSISTENCY.

 Regeneration: Spiritual or moral revival or rebirth. -Freedictionary.com

We ‘regene’ when put on a new identity. This happens when we accept Christ as Our Lord and Savior.

Jobs and Careers

Jobs… If jobs are assignments that must meet completion then when the assignment reaches completion we must move forward spiritually, mentally, physically, socially and financially.

Careers…If careers are expressions of who we are and who we are becoming then we must continually pioneer and progress forward spiritually, mentally, physically, socially and financially.

If we desire promotion (which all of us do) then we cannot remain married to PMS (Programmed Mind- Sets) from the past. ‘PMS’ can be defined as a system of thought that originates from a person, place or thing, and has been ingrained into our character.

Here we go again… BEING MARRIED TO SOMEONE OR SOMETHING (A MINDSET or PMS) THAT HAS NOT GONE THROUGH AND IS NOT GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS OF REGENERATION EQUALS MIXTURE.

Mixture is hot and cold, up and down…. The roller coaster ride of INCONSISTENCY.

This is a form of ‘INTERMARRIAGE’; when we marry (or are in relationship) with a person, place or thing that resembles our UN-REGENERATED past. As we previously presented definitions for intermarriage, we highlighted these key words: DIFFERENT, SAME, WITHIN and BELONGING.

 So…  If we desire to progress in the ‘WORKPLACE’ as God desires, we must allow our PMS Programmed Mind-Sets)that are DIFFERENT and SAME to past organizations to be regenerated… Let us not forget our PMS that were WITHIN and BELONGING to past organizations as well.

 Yes… By Jesus by I think we got it!!

 As you progress throughout your career you will continue to complete assignments. However, you cannot afford to take the mindsets that are DIFFERENT from your current organization, and the SAME as your previous workplaces. You also cannot afford to take the mindsets WITHIN and BELONGING to your past workplaces (Mentally and Physically). Your mindset must be regenerated to accommodate what God desires for you to accomplish and the mission and vision of the organization you have been sent to partner with and serve. Some things must be taken, and some things must be left behind. AMEN!!!

 Last, but not least….

How can intermarriage propel us into the realm of promotion?

 When we are married to (or in relationship) with those people, places and things that have been and are going through the regeneration process we always have a fresh  outlook regarding who we are, who we are becoming and the world we live in.

Let US remember that the workplace in not ONLY a literal,physical place where we go to ‘DO” work…

Please keep in mind that the workplace is also a place where we go to produce “WORK” in the eye of our minds… 

This place is called our IMAGINATION.

Food for thought: Many people have the workplace limited to a place where they go to ‘DO’ work in terms of physical (hands-on) labor including administrative tasks and other daily-duties. My thought is that the workplace is not only a place where we go to ‘DO’ but also a place where we produce (FRUIT or PRODUCTS) in terms of an expression of our imaginations. For example, an artist doesn’t literally have to go to a ‘physical’ place to produce art-WORK, but she or he must go to another place (mentally) in her/his imagination to produce art-WORK….

 This type of work can be produced in the comfort of a person’s home or wherever they choose to work (or produce).

 We are all artists in some form or fashion…

If our scope of ‘work’ is limited to the confines of a physical workplace, then our ability to produce will be limited to the confines of a physical workplace as well. If our ability to produce is limited to the confines of a physical workplace, then our money will be limited also…

 CREATIVITY COME FORTH!!!

Intermarriage

 I firmly believe that “INTERMARRIAGE” is one of the reasons (if not the reason) why some of our promotions are stuck in lay-away. We continue to put money into the wrong account…

 We cannot get what is rightfully ours if we are depositing money (TIME – TALENT- TREASURE) into the wrong account.

Hmm….

The other night I watched a teaching talking about how “jobs” are from the devil and how “jobs” are constructed to take us off of our purpose or assignment. Mind you, that this word was released in 2012.

WOW!!!

It’s okay… Thank God for revelation..
It’s okay to have a job. For many this serves as a place of learning, training and most importantly humility.

Food for thought: An individual never gets stuck working a job, she gets stuck in the mentality of working. Many believe their jobs are merely a means of earning an income when in truth that particular job may be the means God is using to prepare them for their assignment. If you come to work to “just do your job” then that is not enough to complete the assignment God has given you. We shouldn’t measure the number of hours invested at the workplace, we measure the quality of fruit produced from the assignment.

For starters, there is no such thing as a “dead” end job. Up until this point, we have fallen victim to this belief because we have not come into an experience that presented us with a revelation of why jobs exist. 

Remember this: Work is a NOUN, and a verb.

Work is not just a physical destination; it can be viewed as the distribution of our experience, training, skill and talent that equates to people, products, programs and services. The more quality training we receive, the more that can be shared with customer and consumers. Consequently, the consumers turn into producers of quality information.

I am going to be releasing “Just on the Brink of Success” sometime this year (PRAYERFULLY). The book will provide us with a better understanding of why jobs exists. I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

2 Corn 10:12 – For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

The standard that God has set for your life is the only thing that you should be measuring yourself up against. You do not have to compete with anyone to fulfill your purpose. Comparison to others is a form of competition and competition in the Kingdom results in envy, jealously and strife. All of which are issues of the heart.

Competition is only useful in sporting events, however we have been programmed to compete and jockey for positions our entire lives. As young children many of us grew up in environments saturated in poverty {spiritually & financially}.

These circumstances dramatically impacted our SELF-esteem so the need to establish and cultivate a sense of self worth was highly desired.

In schools of learning… people, places, things, life experiences, junior highs, high schools, colleges, etc… We promote SELF-esteem and SELF-image which is very dangerous..

We need A GOD-esteem and a GOD-image..

Today we stand in a new day, we have been and are being regenerated and transformed into His image. Our being is in Him with the image of yesterday being non-existent. The Kingdom of God need not jockey for employment, careers and business deals. Everything we need to progress is in the house, individually and corporately.

14“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 

(BASICALLY… I AM LEAVING THE CRIB, HOLD IT DOWN WHILE I’M OUT).

15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, a each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went AT ONCE and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Questions to ponder: When you were younger, did you parents ever leave you at the house alone ? Or has your boss ever been gone for the day?
