For some the plummet line between a “JOB” and a “CAREER” is obscure and needs to be identified. First things first, we must change our mindset on the definition of both terms. Webster’s defines “CAREER” as a profession or occupation a person takes in LIFE. JOB is defined as a position of employment or work that is done for a set free; anything that is done.

These explanations are very impersonal and barely scratch the surface of the true meanings of both terms. These meanings are not identical twins, but they are close relatives. CLARITY: A job is employment that can be permanent or temporary, a position that is to be utilized as a stepping stone for progression within a company or some form of advancement in your personal and/or professional life.

A job is sufficient to pay bills and can be held by those who may not have any idea of what their gifting is or are complacent with their current standing in life. Jobs are set up to discipline you in order to prepare you for your calling. Jobs prepare you for what God has prepared for you.

However, if you don’t know the purpose of a thing you will abuse it and it will abuse you.

A “JOB” mentality will keep you in POVERTY.

True prosperity eludes those who have the tendency to go to work, instead of producing a work.

There are several impediments that stifle the expression of communication within an organization. It is important that employees know to how effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and managers. The key word here being “Effective”. We often lack communication disciplines because of our upbringing, culture and education. We all have endured past experiences which has shaped our perceptions of people and situations. These scenarios have nullified the purpose and effect of communication in the eyes of a people. The key to successful progressive communication is the ability to “Actively Listen.”

We get PAID to listen and when a message is received and understood, then and only then can the task and goal be accomplished. So it is important that we facilitate formal education in our listen activities and this is a form of “Higher Learning.” The implementation of improvement in communication is embedded in the identification of our strengths and weaknesses. We have access to many online programs and audio tutorials that will be of great assistance in our efforts to cultivate this art form. Communication is indeed an art form, something that has to be learned, nurtured and cultivated. The way we communicated back in the 90’s has evolved therefore we must evolve. The most successful individuals are great communicators, so if you purpose to be great in any particular arena you must become a student of communication. The ensuing threefold cord will keep your instrument of communication in right alignment and harmony within your organization and at home.

1. Perceptions: Our perceptions of people and past experiences better known as stereotypes and limitations cloud the message being transferred between one or more parties. We are to have an unbiased perspective of the information that is being articulated and not assume what the individual is going to say.

2. Position: Outside and inside distractions better known as internal and external noise are barriers in the reception and processing of information. We have to silent those internal voices first before we can intensely focus on the conversation at hand. Also, outside influences or MULTI -TASKING will thwart the transference of information. A high level of focus is a necessity in the consideration of the person and what he or she is trying to verbalize.

         Respect + Sincerity = An appreciative, compliant workforce.

3. Prognosis: We must raise the standard of our training and continual education programs. Most of us do not care to work on the areas of communication until a problem arises and even then we handle the immediate situation without looking toward the progression of the discipline – the root of the issue. The acknowledgement of the cause will lead to the identification of the effect. This circumstance will ultimately enhance the probability of success for an organization, industry and more importantly our economy.

This is the first entry in a Seven part series on the Seven Pillars of Wisdom found in Proverbs 9:1.  This is not an in-depth study on Provision but a short article to illustrate God’s ability to provide for HIS own.

Provision

The word provision is not found many times in the Authorized Version of the King James Bible.  We only see it 11 times, however, provision is apart of the foundation of the Kingdom of God.  Provision is God’s ability to see a need, before that need is actually recognized as being necessary, and CREATE a solution.  The first place where we find the word Provision is in the book of Beginnings: Genesis (It is of interest to note that the word Provision is first seen during a time of famine See Job 5:19-25)

Genesis 42:25 Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man’s money into his sack, and to give them PROVISION for the way: and thus did he unto them.

The word Provision here is the Hebrew word:

tseydah-  it means literally food.  It is translated other places in scriptures as victuals, meat, and vinsion.  It is derived from the Hebrew word

tsayid which means among other things a supply of food.

When we identify what food means we begin to see something very powerful Food (as defined by dictionary.com) is any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk, or otherwise taken into the BODY to sustain LIFE, provide energy, promote growth, etc.  So then provision can be defined as something that is provided beforehand to sustain the BODY and give it LIFE.  Provision sustains life.  Provision as we stated earlier is God’s ability to provide for you before you even recognize provision is needed.  Christ was provision for the whole world this is why he said I AM the BREAD of life.  Women was provision for the man. 

When we talk about our financial life we see that there Christ is our provision also!  He is the one who gives your finances life.  Please HEAR this: your job, or lack thereof, is not your SOURCE of provision Christ is. 

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd I shall NOT want!

Christ is the provision for your finances, and in HIM there is no lack.  This is why the body doesn’t have to worry about the cycles the earth goes through, because their source of provision is not OURS!  Our source never runs dry.  There is no variableness or shadow of turning with him , he is a shade on our right side, for our help (provision) comes from him!

Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night (the worlds economic cycles shall not affect YOU).  The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and FOREVERMORE (Psalms 121).  The only requirement for you to be sustained by our provision and live, is to hearken to the voice of the Shepherd for your finances!  This is HIS promise to you!

Just because we are Kingdom believers does not exclude us from researching, studying and taking notes. Actually, our assignments demand that we become scribes, students and scholars. It is very important to our growth and development that we capture everything that is relevant to our Kingdom Reality. Many times we take cumbersome notes, we try to write every single spoken word down. This in combination with our own thoughts can cause us to lose focus on what is being taught and what is being preached.

Our attempt to cross every “T” and dot every “I” was good for a season.

Even college students and lifetime learners have issues during classroom lectures and presentations. Each and every individual has a particular style, and no one man or woman deliver their material the same. In order for us to progress in our studies, we must take quality notes. It is the quality of the notes not the quantity of the notes.

One effective method is the “Cornell Note Taking Format.” This type of note taking format will allow to you bring a sense of structure your notes. The line drawn vertically down the piece of paper intensifies your focus on the content being delivered by separating your topics and questions from your comments and answers. For students of the Word, you can record your scriptures on the topic side and your interpretation of the scriptures on comments side.  Lastly, you can challenge yourself by folding the paper and quizzing yourself on various scriptures and their meanings. This helps us in gaining a better understanding of the Word and other disciplines by pondering on what was said or written.

The world, not just america is swimming in DEBT.  As of the writing of this article the United States National Debt stood at  just under 15 TRILLION dollars!  According to this figure that amounts to a $46,776 debt load for every citizen in this country!  The problem has grown way out of control.   It affects every person, not just in the country, but the world.  Of the 209 nations on this earth there is not one that doesn’t have debt in some measure.  The problem of debt is even effecting the Body of Christ.  This is unfortunate but true.  Many  believers, just like the world, fall into a quote I recently read: ” To maintain day-to-day consumption, Americans are taking on record amounts of consumer debt, researchers say — $5.2 trillion since 2001. In June 2006, families took on debt equivalent to 129% of their disposable incomes, a big increase from the 96% in March 2001″ (MSN money- Middle Class living on the edge).   However in the midst of all this bad news, there is GOOD News.  There is a solution!  There is a plan and a path so that you won’t be swept away with the masses and the system of Debt that created the middle class, now brings it to its knees doesn’t destroy you.  What is the answer?  It’s Christ in you the hope of Glory.  It is the Kingdom of God.  Thanks be unto God that he sent his Son Christ in the flesh and condemned sin in the flesh.  The debt we were under to sin has been erased, so to people of God, in the kingdom has our natural debt been erased!  He has made us free he who knew no sin but took upon him the form of a servant, (the scripture says in Proverbs 22:7 the borrower is servant to the lender) he took upon our natural and spiritual debt and erased it.  We no more have to be subject to our natural debt than we have to be to our sin debt, for just as sin has been condemned in the flesh so to has our natural debt.  Christ has also given you a means whereby you may be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it.  It’s the creative Christ on the inside of you.  Good people I implore you to hear the words of life coming forth right now, you don’t have to be subject to the world’s system, HE has made you free, and the creative ability that lives on the inside of you can cause you to not only walk in liberty but to possess and subdue the earth (walk in Kingdom wealth) as Christ always intended.  For he became poor that YOU might be rich!

The key words in this phrase are “QUALITY” and “INFORMATION”. QUALITY INFORMATION will cause a QUALITY IN-FORM-ATION on the inside of you. The amount of information received is irrelevant when it pertains to the actual transmission of “DATA”. “DATA” is merely facts that have yet to be processed. When the “DATA” is processed the end result is “INFORMATION.”
“You don’t have to know everything, just know what you know.”

Be cognizant of too much information and the source this information comes from.

The Mind of Christ will reveal opportunities to you, this is QUALITY INFORMATION.

One of the reasons why a great wealth of information may be dangerous is because when an individual is always speaking he or she has little or no time to listen. This is why those who gossip usually miss the mark and those who they come into direct contact with become cynical and suspicious of their surroundings. Too much information overwhelms them and their ability to separate “TRUTH” from the OPINIONS of men is handicapped.

Misery loves company….

QUALITY INFORMATION comes from QUALITY people…
QUALITY people are not interested in numbers, they are interested in people…

QUALITY people are not performers, they are PIONEERS…
