Why is it that MANY entrepreneurs find themselves being held hostage by their own businesses?

1. Mentality – We can still possess a JOB MENTALITY, and have a business if we like to fly SOLO. Some entrepreneurs DECIDE to take on administrative tasks, marketing activities, accounting responsibilities, etc… etc.. etc…. etc….etc….

a. Employeepreneurs (entrepreneurs with a JOB MENTALITY) CHOOSE not to offer a TANGIBLE PRODUCT. A tangible product is an extension of who we are and allows us to become TIME RICH. YOU can be in more than one place if you have TANGIBLE PRODUCTS on someone else’s shelf.

b. Some entrepreneurs CHOOSE not to develop others. One of the primary goals of life and business is REPRODUCTION. Developing others allow us to BECOME MOBILE, and leave a legacy in the Earth while coaching and training our apprentices.

Some employees vacated a job (which they believed to be BONDAGE) to journey into an entrepreneurial venture of running their own business. For MANY owning and running their own business has transformed into a greater stronghold of bondage to the very thing they were attempting to FREE themselves from.

Now consider this…

Maybe…

It wasn’t necessarily the job that held many hostage, BUT maybe it was a JOB MENTALITY that arrested their development and still have many entrepreneurs in handcuffs today

Though our bill collectors have not forgiven us, God has. We have a difficult time facing the debt giant because when come face to face with the opposition we see a reflection of WHO WE USED TO BE AND the mistakes we made as THAT PERSON —– The Old Man.

At times, our bill collectors will make us feel like…
“Look at what you did.” “I am a bad person.” “YOU are irresponsible.”

This leads to trauma, and as we’ve said before, “If we accept a situation or circumstance as TRAUMA and fail to focus on the HEALING opportunity in the midst of the trauma we will SUBCONSCIOUSLY accept that trauma as truth.”

This is what we call condemnation…
Well…. We are not facing this Goliath on our own.

Romans 8:1-2 (NIV)

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

In part one of “The More the Merrier,” we declared that:

• Traveling in packs provided us with a sense of security.
• We desired to be affiliated with a “gang” of people which was a symbol to us of   SAFETY and AN EXTENSION OF FAMILY.
• We can become rich when we measure who were are and what lies in our possessions by a societal norm (A WORLDLY SYSTEM), but wealth can remain as a foreigner to us.
• If we find ourselves not having enough time to complete the tasks of great priority then we have yet to tap into to the reservoir of wealth that lies within us.

The question that lingers in my heart is,“Have we rejected the truth for the sake of accepting a lie?”

 Rejection of the truth is the acceptance of a lie; the opposite of rejection is acceptance.

 Here are a few clichés for us to consider:

• The more the merrier…
• Bigger is better…
• Time is money…
• Money is the root of all evil…

Many of America’s clichés have become idols. These clichés have been misinterpreted or interpreted through an outdated system of thought. An outdated system of thought is evidence of an unrenewed mind. Many of us to use these proverbs as “TRUTH” in order to justify our abnormal behavior.

Maybe we’ll go into depth about this on a later date 🙂

NOW….

Let’s get to the heart of the matter.

Our entire lives have been measured by numbers

Did you have a lot of toys growing up?

• Many of the tests you took when you were younger were scored using numbers.
• Your GPA (Grade Point Average) was represented by a number.
• Your check is presented to you by use of a number.
• The time you spend at work or at the office is represented by a number.
• The number of years you spent in college or at a job is represented by a…….NUMBER

Pass or fail:  Acceptance or rejection.

NOTE TO READER: The higher the number the better you feel or felt about yourself. The lower the number, the more incentive you had to do better. True or Fasle?

DO…DO… DO… is Performance. More on this later 🙂 😮

In many cases, this is an inaccurate measurement of success.  Then was O.K. now we know better.

UNDERSTAND THIS…. You can be employed and still have a low-level QUALITY of life. For those who are employed:  Allow the job to change you. PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZ 🙂

Here is our new motto for  2014:

You cannot change the job.

Come into the agreement with the process of change.

God desires to transform you.

Performance is usually based upon numbers, and there are times when even numbers lie.

Are you a performer or a pioneer?

When some people look at us, they size us up according the number of DEGREES, CERTIFICATIONS, AWARDS, ACHIEVEMENTS and even how long we’ve been on the job or in our respective professions. The more the merrier… The bigger the better…

Many of us associate numbers with IDENTITY and VALUE. The more money we have the better we feel about ourselves.The more awards we receive the better we feel about ourselves. The bigger the house the heavier the scent of arrival present. The bigger the entourage of fans and yes- men, the more we feel accepted by our peers, respected collegeaues and flunkies.

All these circumstances aforementioned are representative of a modern-day in crowd.

Wisdom Key: All past performances need to be disregarded for sake of building a monument of self.

Here is some truth for us to digest:

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

The more of God the merrier…

Let’s hit the mall…..  MEET ME THERE OR BEAT ME THERE!

How many people do we need with us to take this voyage?

Two…. Three…. Four…. Five….Six ….. Seven…… Maybe two, three or four?

THEN….  When we were in our early teenage years, we traveled in PACKS!!!

NOW…  We need maybe two or three contestants to accompany us on our shopping escapades.  Sometimes, we even hit the stories by our lonesome…. #SOLO – DOLO

THEN….Traveling in packs provided us with a sense of security. We desire to be affiliated with a “gang” of people which was a symbol to us of  SAFETY and AN EXTENSION OF FAMILY.

HOWEVER…. Underneath the cloak of safety and security we found ACCEPTANCE.

# I – AM – A- PART- OF –THE – IN- CROWD

NOW… Does this circumstance remain true in our hearts and mind when we are speaking in terms of the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR?

Numbers : Rejection and Your Money

Thought of the Day: Rejection of the truth is the acceptance of a lie; the opposite of rejection is acceptance.

A few days ago I was reading an article by Robert Kiyosaki entitled, “The Definition of Wealth.” Out of everything I read in the article I was dumb struck by one key statement:Wealth is measure in time,not dollars. Pray for me… I still have yet to recover from this revelation 🙂

WOW…. So we can become rich when we measure who were are and what lies in our possessions by a societal norm (A WORLDLY SYSTEM), but wealth can remain as a foreigner to us. #BOOM-POW-PING

Food for Thought: If we find ourselves not having enough time to complete the tasks of great priority then we have yet to tap into to the reservoir of wealth that lies within us.

My question to you is, “Do you desire to be rich (accordingly to the world) or do you desire to be wealthy in Christ?”

I ask you, “Have you accepted the truth about who you are while rejecting the lie of who society desires for you to become?

Or have you rejected the truth concerning who you are while accepting the lie of who society has portrayed you to be?
