K.I.N.G. (Championship Edition)

Maximizing the sports experience.

To celebrate the Lakers 17th NBA championship and Lebron James’ fourth NBA title, we are re-releasing K.I.N.G. (Kids In Need of Graduation). Our new version incorporates reading comprehension and fluency to narrow the achievement gap that exists among minority students. K.I.N.G. integrates the five essential elements of a story, a comparison of fiction and nonfiction narratives in conjunction with an introduction to sensory details used to capture audience’s attention. Participants will also compose an argumentative literary work called, “Who’s the G.O.A.T. ~ Jordan, Lebron or Kobe.”

Kids In Need of Graduation is also designed to help youth identify the success principles that helped Lebron James become a 4-time NBA Champion, 4-time NBA and Finals MVP. Many teens who are involved in athletics never realize how the INTANGIBLES of a champion cross over from sports to school to life. K.I.N.G. teaches teens how to discover, develop and apply the transferable skills necessary to be successful in all areas of life by engaging them in a transformative experience that includes an analysis of two documentaries based on the Lebron James’ story.
