K.I.N.G.

A program designed to help youth identify the success principles that helped Lebron James become a 3-time NBA Champion and MVP. Many teens who are involved in athletics never realize how the INTANGIBLES of a champion cross over from sports to school to life. K.I.N.G. teaches teens how to discover, develop and apply the transferable skills necessary to be successful in all areas of life by engaging them in a transformative experience that includes an analysis of two documentaries based on the Lebron James’s story.

1. How long will the experience be?

The experience will last for 2-3 hours, the price of admission will be $40 a teen. For a sports team of 15, the price of admission is $30 a player.

2. What age will you be accepting?

We’re accepting students and athletes ages 13-18. We can make some exceptions to this rule based upon meeting the under-aged youth (w/parent) to evaluate his/her maturity and comprehension level.

3. Is K.I.N.G. only for boys?

No…. K.I.N.G. is for girls and boys.

4. What does the program consist of?

The program is a workshop full of interactive discussions, activities and an analysis of Lebron James’s life. The first documentary we will examine is titled, “From Homeless to NBA GOAT!”, and the second documentary is called, “The Legacy V”. Each documentary is accompanied by an analysis sheet to help participants study aspects of Lebron’s life and as a self-evaluation to promote success in sports, school and life. To break the ice, we also facilitate an exercise we’ve coined as, “The Situation”

5. Will there be other workshops in the future?

Yes… We are in the process of securing various locations in Illinois and throughout the U.S.

6. When the experience is complete, what will the participants leave with?

Participants will leave with a heightened sense of awareness pertaining to their strengths and weakness in the areas of sports, school and life. All parties will be given self-evaluations to be shared with parents, coaches and teachers. Our students and athletes will also be provided with practical methods and strategies for success.

Our workshop is focused on helping youth prepare for life after high school. Trainees will be encouraged to build on each other’s ideas during discussions and to provide constructive feedback to their peers and facilitators. Participation will be encouraged during the experience.
