Bridging Summer Gaps: A Parent’s Guide To Strengthen Their Child’s Academic Resilience and Positive Behavior During The Break

Regression, in the context of education, refers to the loss of academic skills and knowledge that often occurs during extended breaks, such as summer vacation. Research indicates that students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, tend to experience substantial regression in crucial subjects like math and reading over the summer months.

This interactive education and training session explores the concept of unconscious competence and its practical application in fostering children’s learning and development to combat summer learning loss. Parents will gain insight into the four stages of competence, highlighting the importance of recognizing and supporting their child’s journey.

By understanding how skills are developed and internalized, parents can adopt strategies that promote effective learning habits, enhance academic performance, and encourage positive behavioral patterns during the summer break.
